He said "i do feel for you but not at the same intensity as you feel for me". Is he confused? Is he trying to say "I love u, but slightly".

yes there are different levels of involvement. seems as if you are one of those who dive in, all in to her relationship. I bet you would enjoy falling in love, having a fantasy wedding and a few kids.

Most guys don't go all in. ever. even when we want to we don't dare because we know that you will dump us sometime in the future. Maybe you wouldn't but we don't kow that and so we hold back. Maybe you should too.

Personally, I'd definatly say that there are varying intensities in love and they are as we make them. I'd not say that love is black and white. I love my best friend who's a guy, but I'd never in a million years date him. I love my boyfriend in a way that we look "outwards in the same dirrection" together. I'd say that love is not a adjective, but really a verb. Its an ongoing action that takes work. I think that what your guy friend is trying to say, is that he just would rather going on being your friend--not that he doesn't care, but he doesn't want to date.

I truly believe that all humans have a built in LOVE system.. We may not LIKE or even think we CARE about someone but I believe we do LOVE at all times... I do believe there are different levels of LOVE, we love a friend, we love our parents, we love our mate, we love our children.... each level brings about a different emotional response when trouble or sorrow or joy, etc., comes into play..... God bless
