Well.. its definitely better to get it while u are still young.Yes, it will be uncomfortable at the first couple of weeks but after that u should be all good to go and perhaps only other things to watch out for is that u cant always eat watever, and whenever u want to. Despite it all.. its still worth it to get it, most especially when you are still young.

I have braces and have had them for about 3 years. When they are putting them on, it does not hurt at all, it just feels awkward because there is so much stuff in your mouth. Also your mouth feels really dry because your teeth can't be wet otherwise the braces won't stick. After you've had your braces on for a couple of hours, your teeth get wicked sore. Its really hard to eat at first because your not used to it and when you bight down it hurts. The soreness in your mouth will last for about 3 or more days. Taking some Tylenol can help take the pain away. Also, when you have follow up appointments and they tighten your braces, they may be sore for like a day, but not nearly as long as when you first get them on. Lastly, before you know it you'll be getting your braces off, I get mine off in May (YAY). Hope i helped.

They are more discomfort then painful. Only the first day and when you get them tightend. Sometimes the wires may poke you or the brackets may hurt so ask for wax when you get them and each time you get your braces adjusted. Its no big worry think of how many people already have them. My best advice I can give is actually to wear your retainer so that you never have to go through having them again. To be honest I miss my braces.

The first few days it will be PAINFUL, but that will all go away. Make sure to get plenty of wax (you put this on your braces) and make sure to wear it at night. The most pain I had was during the night. Take some pain reliever to take away some of the pain. But in a few weeks it will all seem normal. And in a few years your teeth will look gorgeous. And even better your smile will be amazing. Good luck =)

I will be honest with you. Braces hurt the first few days and every time you get them tightened. It isn't an extremely bad pain but your teeth might get sore. If you just eat soft foods the first day you should be fine. Also when people say that you can't chew gum it isn't true. You can still eat gum but it has to be sugarless.

the process when they are putting the braces in your teeth doesn't hurt at all, but 2 days later you are going to feel really weird, and it is going to hurt a little bit...when you eat and stuff
oh and you are going to talk funny

I have had the worst experience with my orthodontist so be sure that you are picking someone you will be happy with.
I dont know if it was her treatment or if my mouth is just sensitive but I experienced a lot of pain. The final time was when she told me where to put my bands on and the next morning I woke up and one of my chains had snapped it was so tight...
Be careful!

They hurt when you first get them on, i'll be honest. And they'll probably hurt after you get them tightened...other than that, they're really not that bad..
They MIGHT, however, give you blisters in your mouth. and those arent fun. But i made it through 3 years and i have a low pain tolerance- you'll be fine. and it's all worth it in the end! :)
