Which candidate running do you think will deal with the immigration issue in the way you deem as necessary? Please state what your stance is on illegal immigration & how the candidate you've chosen (from what you know of him/her) will cater to your viewpoint.

If none of them do then please feel free to both vent your frustration here & suggest politicians who aren't running (or haven't declared yet) that you think would deal with the issue.

I just realized I didn't put down what "type" of candidate I'm talking about. I'm talking about candidates running for U.S. president in '08. But if you want to mention candidates of other political positions running then feel free to mention them too.

Duncan Hunter & Tom Tancredo!

I am strongly against ALL 20+ million illegal alien criminals. It doesn't matter where they are from. They could be from Canada, China or Mexico. If they are here illegally, they are CRIMINALS and MUST leave.

It doesn't matter if they have been here 10 mintutes or 10 years. If they are here illegally, they MUST leave.

It doesn't matter if they have children that were born here, the kids may have rights here but the parents don't and if they are here illegally, they MUST leave.

I'm a Democrat but I believe that the Republicans have the right idea when it comes to immigration. There should be NO legalization and amnesty rights given to people that have blatantly broken our laws and illegally crossed our borders. Then take our hard earned, taxpayer money, education and government freebies.

It's one thing that they want to be called an American Citizen but when they constantly wave their Mexican flags and spit on the Red, White and Blue, that shows disrespect.

I also think that we need to stop making it so easy for illegals to, “NOT learn” English (our native language). It costs the American taxpayers Billions of dollars a year to educate children of illegal’s, house illegal’s, give them MediCal or MediCade benefits, food stamps, WIC, Aid the Needy Children and most of all, the burden on our law enforcement officers and jails.

Last year alone, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, spent over 20 Billion dollars to incarcerate violent illegal’s, who came here for one reason, to commit crimes, not to work in the fields. In fact, most of the illegal’s coming across the border don’t and won’t work in the fields. They take all the jobs that used to be a livable wage, for half the pay, and have destroyed our middle class.

Since the HUGE influx of illegals, gangs and gang violence has escalated ten fold. This puts a HUGE drain on states and local governments, when the Federal Government does nothing to help.

Do you wonder where your state budget goes every year? I would bet you that over 20+% of it goes to pay for illegal’s and illegal services and freebies.

California used to be the cleanest, prettiest, best educated, and most affluent state in the United States and now we are at the bottom. All because we spend such a huge portion of our budget on illegal’s and their children, which means there has to be cuts some where else, like schools, roads, etc.

I have nothing against people wanting to come to this country legally but when you come in and break our laws, get fake ID's, seal SS#s, get fake birth certificates, and then get credit cards and homes with this stolen identity, that's a FEDERAL OFFENCE. If a born an reared citizen of the US did this, he or she would be punished to the full extent of the law and receive at least 2 to 5 years in Federal Prison.

So why are they treated differently? Why do we kiss their butts and give into every thing they want? Why are they still considered a MINORITY and receiving minority, preferential treatment, when in California, they are now the majority? I guess that goes back to our Politicians, looking for more votes so they can save their jobs.

I just graduated college in California last summer and have not been able to find a decent job, because they all require Bi-lingual applicants. Now I am being discriminated against, in my own country, because I am an American that speaks English and am not
Bi-lingual. How did we let this happen???!!!!!!!

Its not politically correct for the pres. candidates to have a strong right view on illegal immigration. The only thing we can do is to continue to build and secure the fence. I don't mind paying $2.00 for a head of lettuce. We will do fine without the masses of illegal immigration.

Tancredo,Hunter, and Ron Paul. They are the only ones willing to enforce our laws as we American citizens demand. The others are selling us out when it comes to illegal immigration.

Tancredo and Hunter seem strong on this topic, Romney less so but a whole lot better than the rest of the field.

Most of the candidates have yet to articulate what could be called a "policy" statement on illegal immigration. In fact most of them are uneducated on the problems and ill advised to make good policy decisions that will benefit America and the citizens. I will hold my assessment until later on in the campaign when it becomes a nut cutter.
