But weve ben going out offically since like july, but really like twp years off and on, and im going ot college soon and all that and ive havent been single or like random dates fora long time, and i dont know what to do. Cuz hes so great, i know he'll always be there, but he says he could be with me for the rest of his life, and i guess i just dont feel that strongly and so i said i needed to be alone to know if thats what i would want, and ive been figuring out that im not very good alone, but maybe its just the letting go. I dont know, but it dosent feel good.what do u think.

its probably the letting go..at least he is letting you have some space and if he cares that much about you, shurely he will be a great friend if nothing more..then you wont have to worry about him while in college..

there is a famous quote that a break up is called a break up because it is broken. That means something is wrong with it, and it may get better right away when you get back together, but that never lasts. I went through the same thing you did as a senior and dated a guy for 3 years and broke it off. Of course it didnt feel right, but 3 years later it was the best thing i could have done!

If you are headed off to college you are too young for a serious relationship. Go off to college and have your fun. Don't be afraid to be alone - being alone is better than being with someone that may not be the right one for you.

let me guess you feel bad because hes been there for you through thick and thin and prolly through this bf and that bf through it all hes been there for you but you feel bad now because you dont want him around i mean if hes such a great friend why nnot keep him around like you have been doing so when you need him and you say jump he says how hig am i right? you should feel bad stringing dude along for your convenience and then when you feel you dont need him for anything throw him to the dogs but let me tell you this you will need him befor he needs you...i mean correct me if m wrong here.
