I like this guy and he really likes me a lot. He's not my b/f or anything and we've established that we both like each other but that we're not b/f and g/f because we haven't hung out (we can't until my parents meet him first).
The thing is, he's been trying to kiss me on the lips for a while and I really, really want to! But I don't want to kiss him and then tell him I can't be his g/f if for some reason my parents don't like him.
I just want to walk up to him and kiss him. Is it okay for me to do that?

If it would make you feel better to get an a-okay from mom and dad first....then next time he goes in for the kill (so to speak) put a finger to his lips and explain that you'd love to, but you'd prefer him to meet mom and dad first before you take your relationship to the next level. Just explain that he's important to you and you want to do things the right way. Guys like to know that you aren't just blowing them off.
Have you tried talking to your parents about dating this young man? Or maybe you could have him over for a game of cards or something? I think that as long as he's a sweet guy and treats you well, they shouldn't mind at all. Unless of course he's--say 7 years older, a drug dealer or worships the devil ;-) Which I'm sure he's not, so go for it either way.
I agree with not wanting to deal with smooching a guy first and then finding out you can't date after the fact.

Hunnie, you really like this boy, am I not right? When he tries to kiss you, go for it or if you want to run up and do it, do it. But remember this. If you don't, you'll regret that moment in your life and say to yourself that you have should have done it.
This second advise may not turn you on, but I think once you've kissed this boy you should tell your parents why you kissed him and why you like him so much. They might understand and let you go out with him.

Ive learned the hard way, but if you really like someone dont be affaird to tell them or show it, because before you know it it'll be too late. And if your affaird of what your parents might say, if you really like this boy you'd tell them and they'd be happy for you because its hard to find someone who you like and that likes you the same way back. If i were you id walk up to him and kiss him.
