LADOT does have a route from Newberry Park/Thousand Oaks

here's the information on that
http://www.ladottransit.com/comexp/routes/422/422.html
the only problem it leaves around 5:00am -6:00am in the morning
arrives in LA about a hour and 1/2 later
cost for a LADOT pass (good on the Dash Buses)
is $99.00 -these passes are not good on the Metro buses
hope this helpful
if you need to leave later there is both
VISTA and Metro have routes departing the Thousand Oaks
transit center going to Warner center where you can transfer
to the Orange Line taking that to the North Hollywood station
then Red Line into downtown (that would $3,.00 for all day bus pass or $49.00 for a Monthly pass (which is also valid on the
LADOT 423 bus mention above (expect for zone charges)

another option is getting to say either Camarillo, Moorpark or
Simi Valley Metrolink stations and taking Metrolink into Los Angeles

Yikes have you thought about ride share or something...check with your company or one's near it...or you and going to be spending an awful lot of time on Public Transportation....
