There is no "insight" at work here... only speculation, faulty logic, and assumptions linked by two unrelated things. You assume a person is born gay. What about ex-homosexuals who have chosen of their own volition to lead a heterosexual lifestyle? I have met many such individuals over the years and they ascertain they live happier and healthier lives. No church was involved in "reprogramming" them... Homosexuality is not a genetic traight or physiological disposition, it is a choice. That's why it is called a sexual preference.

Ok, first of all, the Bible doesn't say ANYTHING about which hand is the right hand, but the Bible does have a thing or two to say about homosexuality. It is considered a sin, as lying, stealing, and murdering are sins. it is not, in God's eyes, considered any better or worse than any other sin. In fact, it is possible to be a christian and still be gay/lesbian. Not that it is encouraged, but no one can say you're not a christian just because you're gay, just as no one can say you're not a christian just because you lie. But if you continue to indulge in these sins, whatever they may be, and don't try to stick to the straight and narrow, you are opening yourself up to Satan. One of Satan's favorite ways to lead people astray is to tell them something isn't a sin when it actually is.
I have nothing against gay people, they are just like any other people. I do believe there is somewhat of a genetic disposition towards it, just as there is with alcoholism and lying, and i believe all three of those can be overcome.
The church is wacked in a lot of different ways, including their misconception about how God views homosexuality. But that doesn't make homosexuality ok.

i'm no longer adversarial to gay marriage by way of fact homosexuality is evil. i'm adversarial to it by way of fact marriage is holy. perchance homosexuality isn't a criminal concern. besides the incontrovertible fact that, marriage is. Marriage licenses are given by utilising the government. Biblical marriage incorporates 1 guy and one female, and any sexual intercourse outdoors of that union is illegitimate. That being stated, the cost of marriage is declining in our society. we've all heard approximately hovering divorce costs. As Christians, i think of our accountability is to no longer sentence each physique (homosexuals, drug addicts, abusive human beings) in accordance with their insurrection against or failure to persist with our ideals, yet to motivate the cost of marriage to be restored. i might think of that is basically as disgusting to God to be sure a drunk heterosexual couple that basically met get married in Vegas as that's to be sure a gay couple get married. the two couples are embracing a sinful way of existence, and the two are taking the Biblical definition of marriage gently. as a fashion to deter the divorce cost, Texas had all started charging an further cost for couples who want a marriage license and have not had premarital counseling. i think of this is the main appropriate concept. The separation of church and state is a sturdy concept, yet i do no longer think of that is totally functional. If we've been to try this, marriage does no longer be a criminal concern to start with, as that's God-ordained.

I don't think you can blame it on the Church. I think it is between God and you. You make your peace with him. Brain lateralization is the reason that Handedness is not genetic. The brain needs to develop and hard wire itself into the brain's hemispheres. This is not a inborn trait. It must be developed.

Where are those scriptural imprecations against being left handed again?
It's not that we are unsympathetic. Many of us have had to deny aspects of our nature in favor of the higher calling in Christ. It's a question of whether a person has surrendered to God or not. If you have, then there seems to be only one scriptural alternative to celibacy, and that is heterosexual, monogamous marriage. His ways are not our ways. I don't go around telling gay people they are going to hell if they don't change their ways. I just implore people to seek the risen Christ, and the Holy Spirit is the One Who convinces of sin. But to believe a person is outside the will of God and then to tell them not to worry about it is not loving them.

Myself, I thought you were making a good point. It might have been too subtle for some people to pick up on, though.
