There's plenty of recent DNA evidence to dispel that lie.

The easiest answer to that is that Native Americans didn't keep track of their ancestry.
The truth is, it's impossible to prove either way at this point. A belief in Israeli ancestry based on the Book of Mormon would be founded on faith, but not empirical evidence.
On the other hand, some people claim that DNA evidence proves that Native Americans probably came from Asia. Never mind that:
a) There has never been any primary research conducted with the expressed intent to prove or disprove the Book of Mormon. Those CSI shows on TV seem to have made us all think we're experts in phylogeny.
b) The Book of Mormon record involves small families of Israelites that inhabited probably 200-300 square miles in America somewhere. Be open to the likelihood that the Americans continents experienced migration from all over the world before, during, and after the time period that the Book of Mormon covers. So it's quite possible that SOME Native Americans are of direct Israeli descent while others (likely the majority) are not.

What in the Hell are you talking about?
The Book of Mormon says some Hebrews came to America long before we believe. And they have found
Hebrew artifacts in America. Once, a man was trying
to read the writing on an old stone. And a guy walked up from the other side and said, "That's Hebrew!"
The Pearl of Great Price, also part of the Latter Day
Saints. Calls the Red Nations the Lamanites.

Native Americans are the indigenous peoples from the regions of North America now encompassed by the continental United States, including parts of Alaska. They comprise a large number of distinct tribes, states, and ethnic groups, many of which are still enduring as political communities. There is some controversy surrounding the names used: they are also known as American Indians, Indians, Amerindians, Amerinds, or Indigenous, Aboriginal or Original Americans. In Canada they are known as First Nations.
The U.S. states and several of the inhabited insular areas that are not part of the continental U.S. also contain indigenous groups. Some of these other indigenous peoples in the United States, including the Inuit, Yupik Eskimos, and Aleuts, are not always counted as Native Americans, although the US Census 2000 demographics listed "American Indian and Alaskan Native" collectively. Native Hawaiians (also known as Kanaka Māoli and Kanaka ʻOiwi) and various other Pacific Islander American peoples such as the Chamorros can also be considered Native American, but it is not common usually due to their different historical origin (i.e. Polynesian).

Oh good grief. I have nothing against Mormons, but what I've heard about the bit regarding Native American people is such ridiculous crap just meant to try to disprove the existence and cultures of people.

While I believe that a remnant of our present-day American Indian is a descendant from the early immigrants from Jerusalem (Lehi) not all Indians are direct descendants of him.
Many nations of our American Indians came to the North American continent via the Bering Strait centuries previous to the arrival of the Jaredites and the Nephites.

They deny what the Mormon church says their ancestry is because it is not true. They are of asiatic descent. There is enough proof of this with DNA studies.
The BOM has been made up as there is evidence of this too.

an analogous reason white individuals dont call themselves Europeans. interior of sight individuals are unquestionably a mix of Caucasoid (White) and Mongoloid (central Asian). This technically makes them there own race by way of fact of ways long they have been this blend. So in a nutshell they're maximum appropriate to deny being Asian by way of fact they're there own race.
