We are taking a two day trip to the great wolf lodge which is an indoor waterpark/hotel...
We are getting a room for one night so we can use the waterpark for the two days.
We are leaving Monday morning and will return Tuesday late night.

I run a home daycare on the side and have had two children in it for almost a year. During that time we have made friends and my kids and her kids are like best friends.

So when you book a hotel you get four water park passes...well there are only three of us. And so I asked the daycare girls mom if she could go with us.
Her daughter is six and mine is five.

Her mom said yes that she could go.

So I told my hubby and he doesnt think it is a good idea. He keeps asking me if I want to be responsible for another persons child in a nother state. I don't see a problem and he says its up to me...

Does it sound ok to you?

It fine. Make sure you have a release form incase she would happen to get hurt. You really have to watch the kids carefully at Great Wolf, but she should be fine.

I see your husband's point, you probably should have discussed it first. It does make it a different kind of trip.
It depends on whether you parents want to be your daughter's sole source of personal entertainment, or if you'd rather kick back part of the time and watch the kids have fun. I would prefer the latter, even though a little minor jealousy (yes!) is likely to surface between the girls. It's likely to be a good experience for both of them, though.

In any case, I don't see that you havwe a whole lot of choice now. Your friend has already accepted the invitation for her daughter, who is probably anticipating the outing with great excitement.

It's only two days! Have a blast!!

It would be good for your daughter to have someone to play with while shes there. Youre responsible for her child at your own home arent you? I'm sure the mother of this child trusts you with her daughter in another state if she leaves her in your care on a daily basis. Try to talk to your husband and bring up why it would be nice to take this girl along with you. But if bringing her along is going to make him miserable for the whole trip then you might just want to leave her at home.

If you are fine with it then it is not a problem, you sound like you are responsible enough to care for them during the day, just don't expect too much time off since there are two children.
Children go on trips all the time with their friends, it is completely normal.

i see nothing wrong with taking the child with you you take care of her everyday you know her just as well as her own mother does its only 3 hours away and if anything happens it wouldn't take long for her mother to get there and i do not see how her being there can take any time away from your family she can entertain your child and give you and your husband alil time together i say take the child with you

As long as you and the childs parents are okay with it, why should it matter what anyone else thinks?
