i think i've tried every lotion on tha wal-mart shelfs, and my dry skin returns in a couple of hours!?!

Use a massage oil first. Then use a good cream on top of that. Ones with Shea Butter are great! Sally Hansen's products are real good! Even baby oil before the cream, would work too. You just need double layers to help them sink in better!

Eucerin calming cream. Works great. Also by Eucerin, Aquaphor, more like an ointment, can be greasy so I use this one at night and the other right after the shower in the day. Both recommended by doctors including my own. Good luck.

Dove products have extra stuff in them to keep your skin from drying. Try their body wash/soap with the lotion.

It is always recommended that you exfloliate your skin before you apply anything on it. It is to unclog the pores that are clog by excessive dead skin cells that prevent the lotion applied to be absorb into the skin fully to work effectively. You can try body scrubs to exfloliate effectively.

Aquaphor , I think its by Eucerin. Its unbelievable, thetNeutrogena daily therapeutic lotion is great too.
Avoid lotions containing ALCOHOL, BAD for your skin will dry it even more so.

cut a lemon in half width-wise and rub it on your elbows and knees. it really helps in cleansing away all those dry skin cells - never fails. afterwards, use the best cream in the world for dry skin - Aquaphor. i swear it will work for you. get some! here's a site.

I agree with Palmers Cocoa Butter, put it on before you go to bed and in a week or less you skin will be smooth as can be!
