Try a waving iron, or just a plain curling iron but curl the hair for about 3 to 5 second instead of 10. Then stretch the curls out and spritz with hairspray. Also there are some "Wet and wavy" products by John Frieda that you can spray on and get waves in your hair.

Use a product like mousse to hold the curls better, then use hairspray. If you're using a curling iron make sure you hold it for long enough that the hair takes the shape, but not so long you burn your hair. Those big rollers are good for volume, leave them in for 20 min-1 hr and then apply hairspray to hold. I've heard backcombing adds volume too. If you hair is thick and heavy volume will be hard to get, but pretty much the only option is to use product.

This is what I do: When I get out of the shower and my hair is still wet, I spray some detangling spray in it and brush it out. Then I apply an antifrizz cream and work that through. Then I take a handful out mousse and scrunch it into my hair. Then I clip all my hair in a big clip on the top of my head so that its all scrunched. Every once in a while, unclip it and scrunch it by hand, then clip it back up and leave it.
I have naturally straight hair, and this gives my hair nice waves. Its also a lot less damaging than using a curling iron.

put your hair in braids when its wet and fall asleep and when you wake it up it will be wavy and you can spread out the curls with your fingers if you want, it looks really good i do it all the time.
you can also try crimpers, wavers, or curling irons.
use a volumizing shampoo, and hair products. but i dont recommend Aussie because the volumizing hairspray is sticky.
there are some products on the market that "bring out your natural curl". you could try those. i recommend Making Waves.
good luck!

in case you have a obdurate at present hair, you could flow to a expert salon to get a perm. No, it would not could desire to be the Shirley Temple style. The perm will shop your hair from straightening, and you will occassionally use a curling iron to augment your curls. utilising some easy mousse with conditioner after utilising a curling iron will additionally help shop its shape without the crunchy problematical feeling. And the better area, in case you like it at present back, you could style it decrease back at present too.

You could curl it with a curling iron while it's damp, use a water bottle. Then spray hairspray on it while you are curling it.
