One quick remedy is to get some warm water and put salt (real salty) in it the water and gargle it (around the tooth that hurts). The pain should dull a little until you can get to the dentist. Just do this everytime you feel pain.

A dentist is the only one who can fix the problem. You can get help from social services for emergency dental treatment, or ask the dentist if you can make payments over a couple of months. Most dentists will look at you for free and give you an estimate for the work before they begin.
Good Luck

ibuprofen comes in 200 mg, prescription strength is 800mg, you can buy this over the counter.start with the actual dosage & see if you don't get some relief. This will help allot of pains in the facial area, including earaches.

you can have analgesic tablet (paracetamol)
or
topical anaesthetic like lignocaine by painting the tooth
but all of this is temporarly only
you will have to go to dentist anyway either to take it off or by roots treatment
