My niece is 3 and JUST learned to use the potty! Hallelujah!!! But, honestly, we had begged her, bribed her, scolded her - none of it worked. One day, she just said she was ready to go potty. And the rest is history! So, just keep showing her how to use the potty, talk to her about it and make it fun. When SHE is ready, it will all fall in place. I know it's hard and unpleasant, but be patient.

Just keep trying. Take her to the potty often. Make a BIG deal out of it when she does use it. Do NOT scold her for wetting the bed because it's possible that she can't control that kind of accident. When you're home alone with her, let her run around with no diaper/panties. She's more likely to tell you she has to go, if she can't go in her pants...and REWARD REWARD REWARD! It can be very taxing on you as a parent, but she will get the idea. Trust me, she won't be in the 8th grade, wetting her pants. You don't want to use negativity or shame with this. The better the experience is for her, the faster she'll take to it. Good luck!

My daughter was potty trained a little bit before she turned 2. All I did was put panties on her, and when she wet her self, I would take her to the toilet to explain to her where she needs to go if she doesn't want to sit wet! And when she peed on her self I made her sit wet! (not for long, just long enough to irritate her!). But just take the day off and constantly take her to the bathroom and make her sit on the toilet. and when she does pee make a big deal. Clap, yell, smile, show her you are so proud of her. I also carried a toilet in the car, so that if we were headed some where and the bathroom wasn't close, she wouldn't pee on her self. She doesn't even pee in the bed at night. But do one thing at a time. Start with during the day, pull up at night. Then gradually work on the night. Hope this ALL helps!

It really helped when I got some potty-training books for my daughter. We started working on potty-training when she was two, but it wasn't until after her third birthday that she really got it, and the little story books helped her want to be potty trained and work towards it. From everything I've read, its really a hit and miss situation, finding what works for you child. We tried a reward system, a chart with stickers, gentle peer pressure, pull ups, winging it... and we had a LOT of messes to clean up before she got it. Just be sure and keep your sense of humor, and good luck!

I did something most parents wouldnt do. I would go to the bathroom with her. and I would tell her she couldnt go here cause she wasnt a big girl. and she could only go if she wanted to be a big girl and take off the pampers. So she said she wanted to be a big girl and I acted dumb " are you sure. i dont think your ready" and she proved me wrong. Then I made sure to take her ever two hours to see if she "was a big girl" her reward was thinking she was a big girl. It worked well.

What worked for my daughter was that we talked ALOT about being a "big girl". we talked about what babies do and how much more big girls get to do, like chew bubble gum, drink from "big" cups (ones without sippy tops), visit with their friends and so on, wen she was ready she told me she wanted to be a big girl, that night she slept without a diaper and woke up dry, went potty and wore her new "big girl underware" to daycare, I packed quite a few extra change of clothes for her and she went through most of them that day, but the next day she used it all day and I've never had a problem with her restroom habits.
