I have had him make up songs with me and things like that. But I miss that. How do I tell him. He'll think it's babyish!

It is not babyish to share those special moments with your dad. Dont be ashaimed to tell him how you feel. He is your dad and you are his baby...and always will be no matter how old you get. If that is something that you enjoyed with him...and he enjoyed doing...why stop?

Mine did. He made up Cinderella into "Umbrella" and her sisters into "rat" and "bat". It was hilarious.

I actually told him how funny they were and that I hope he will tell those stories to my children some day. He loved hearing that part.

I think, at some point, such stories do have to end, sad though it might be. Just a part of growing up. He might feel uncomfrtable telling you such made up stories... but you can show your appreciation :)

No he did not. But somethings do outgrow themselves, sadly. My dad tells me stories of when he was little and how mischievous he was and the times he got in trouble. It makes me realize how much i could relate to him. Maybe you should ask your dad about his past. You'll grow closer as daughter and father.
