In new mexico it is one ounce, or if you are caught with multiple dimes and nicks you can get distribution. you can actually just call th police department on a non-emergency line and ask them. call from a payphone if your paranoid, or just tell them your writing a report for school. If you are a toker it is important you know the law in your area. NORMAL.org has state by state pot laws and penalty's.Kansas state law is as follows: first offense any amount is misdemeanor as long as there is no intent to sell, or sale. second offense can be bumped up to felony. keep in mind the judge & DA (god forbid) will know how mutch a person can pocess for personal use. if your cought with ten pounds chances are they will try to get you with "intent" to distribute. In my younger days me and my partner contemplaited taking large amouns up north but most often we decided against based on the laws of the particulare state. I would not go to Kansas. think twice about anything involving drugs, once you are in the system it is a pain in the a-- to get out.
