A man named Muhammad invented the religion of Islam. He created the movement after successfully winning 26 separate battles that gave him control of the arabian pennisula and wiped out all the jewish tribes from their ancestoral homelands (like Medina).

Since Muhammad made-up his religion, that religion has been at war. From India to Italy, from Africa to the Phillpines, Islamic warfare has raged and still rages today.

So the question is, has Islam done anything good for humanity instead of wiping out more sophisticated cultures and murdering unbelievers for 1400 years?

Well, some say yes. They claim Islam contibuted to science. The problem is, when you actually bother to verify the propaganda, it all fails. For example, the claim is made that Muslims invented Algebra and arabic numerals. Uh, wrong. Hindus, entirely and completely invented the numerals we call 'arabic' and all the concepts of algebra come from non-muslims, except the log.

What have they done...

Well, the above is a very partial history. There is a history of violence between Christian countries and Muslim countries since the crusades.

As for good Islam has done: it's united the warring tribes on the Arabic peninsula. It's brought Indian numerals to the west (we call our numbers 'Arabic' for a reason). It preserved Greek and Latin philosophy. It had some very good philosophers.
