Those can bring so many different meanings to each individual. My wife developed breast cancer when she was 35. I was left with the idea that I was going to be a single father having to raise two teenage daughters. What kind of thought should that bring about. She was a breast cancer survivor. She survived over 25 years from the diagnosis of the breast cancer. What kind of thoughts should that provoke? She ended up with Large B cell lymphoma which was probably caused by the chemotherapy and radiation treatment from the breast cancer. She died from this cancer in November 2005. What thoughts should this bring about, happy that she survived for 25 years from the breast cancer, or sad from the fact that she died from the cure?

"Cancer that gets the most attention and a lot of funding"
While I have nothing but sympathy and understanding for a person fighting ANY form of cancer, it's a bit annoying to constantly see all the "pink" everywhere and see the commericals on TV dedicated to only breast cancer.
Is it just because it's seen as a "woman's cancer"? I'm not really sure, but I'm a young woman with Hodgkin's lymphoma, gone through nearly 40 doses of chemo in 16 months, one stem cell transplant and after a second relapse about to get a donor bone marrow transplant, yet you won't see anyone hawking "Violet" ribbons at the local stores. Most people don't even know violet is Hodgkin's color.
