Well, if you have a reliable car, you have more options on where you work. Walking distance or further.
If you don't have a reliable car, get a job that you could walk to.
Good Luck!

If you need a job very badly then walking would be worth it. Besides you will be saving lots of money by walking. Cars are expensive to drive. . . Plates, Insurance, Gas, Oil, Repairs and Payments. You will realize a lot more money from your paycheck if you do walk and it is healthier as well. Good Luck

Depending on where you live. Walking to work is great if the neighborhoods are safe, area has decent weather, & you live within a couple of miles of work. You save fuel, get much needed exercise, & can enjoy life. I live in a town with 20,000 residents. My brother walks to work nearly everyday because he chooses to not own a car. My husband will sometimes walk to work if he is in the mood. Both live within 1.5mi of their work places.
Driving can be better if you live more than 2mi from work or if you have a safety factor, like certain neighborhoods that are unsafe or if you work late night hrs. My husband will drive to work most days because he may have to run out to the store before going home or the weather is nasty.

I prefer walking to driving so get a job you can walk to. There are many perks because you are getting some exercise. You don't have to put up with traffic jams and road rage. And not to mention you don't need gasoline.
