following two deaths in our family , my mum decided to take myself and three young children to london for the day during the half term to try and give us a special day out. only to discover on the train home her purse was missing. this has left us with even more sorrow and for a lady who has always gone without for others left me devastated. i need to see her smile once more what can i do? taking into account im on a low income with 3 children. She feels the purse containing over a hundred pound in vouchers went missing on the train from kings cross to retford yet nobody of authority wants to know.

We live in an unkind world now, unfortunately. The days are long gone when honest oeople realised that some unlucky person had lost thier money.Todays' attitude is your loss my gain. The loss of money is always a bugbear.Hey you can't replace the money, what you can do though is show her you feel her pain And love her just a little bit more. You never know, may'be some honest person will hand up the purse.Good Luck

You can't really make up for that but perhaps you could buy her a new purse & have your children write some little notes about how they feel about her & put them in the purse? If it makes her smile it's worth it.Your Mum sounds like a lovely lady & you are a good Daughter for wanting to put it right Sounds like she's got exactly what she needs!Hope thing work out.

I think the best thing you can do is probably just give her plenty of love really! go and talk to her alot and confort her. its the best thing for her to have family around her. You could always find something special to give her, something like :
from a card shop you can buy them small cards that have lovely verses on and its something she can keep with her!

something like this is a hard thing to try and help some one with all you can really do is be there for them and love them
