I asked this question about 4 to 6 months ago. It was about a phone tax that everyone was paying for the last 100 years. I didn't know the name of tax but the telephone people couldn't even tell you what it was. People that replyed to my question didn't believe me or wanted a name of the tax. Well guess what, I was watching the news last night 2-25-07 and they mentioned it and i was right. I'm not bragging, I just want to let everyone know that when you do your taxes that there is a line that needs to be filled out. They said that everyone should recieve about $60.00. I don't remmember the amount but they said it would cost the government so many billions of dollars, so pass the word. This is a fact from Jack!!!
P.S. This was a tax i believe from the Spanish American War. Have a great day.

From the IRS Website

Taxpayers have a choice: a standard refund amount between $30 and $60, based on the total number of exemptions claimed on their 2006 tax return, to eliminate the need to locate old phone bills; or they can locate those bills and use the actual amount.

Choosing the standard refund amount? You’ll find an extra line on your tax returns for the refund.
Find those old phone bills? You can figure the refund using the actual amount of tax paid. Fill out Form 8913, Credit for Federal Telephone Excise Tax Paid, and attach it to your return.
Don't need to file a return? You can still request the refund. Use the new Form 1040EZ-T, Request for Refund of Federal Telephone Excise Tax, to choose the standard amount. Attach Form 8913 to Form 1040EZ-T if you use the actual amount. Also, some companies offer free e-filing of Form 1040EZ-T.
Filing Schedule C, E or F? You may be eligible to use the special formula for businesses if you have more than $25,000 in gross receipts

Jack's fact is real close, except for "everyone" getting $60. The flat amount is $30 for a one-person household, $40 for two, $50 for three, and $60 for four or more.

You also have the option of digging out your phone bills from March 2003 through July 2006, listing the long distance excise tax on each, and adding them up and using the total instead of the flat amount.

If you aren't filing a return but did have a telephone with long distance service during that timeframe, you can claim the refund by filing a form 1040EZ-T.

What you took in final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days is what you could anticipate to soak up this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and that's all you could spend this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. particular, which skill much less Social Engineering that has no lead to sight and extra (with a bit of luck) infrastructure fix. the U.
