No, I went to the express DMV because I was in the same situation and they did not even bring it up. I just told them I needed an ID. They were very nice and helpful and I had no problems.

The DMV doesn't have access to law enforcement records like you having warrants so they won't know you have them. However, your driving privileges could have been suspended because of them. If for some miraculous reason there was a notation or something in their system about an active warrant they may call the police, but it's doubtful that they would know one way or another. The only thing they usually know is if you've been convicted on something like speeding, DUI, etc.

Depends on your state.
I know in NJ, people get locked up all the time for traffic warrants trying to get new licenses at the DMV. And besides, most won't give you squat with a suspended license. Even, an ID. So get you priorities straight and pay your fines before you go to jail!

Are you kidding? They can't even keep track of who is next in line. Besides, you could just hide in the line and they'd never see you. Seriously, though, the chances are very slim that they'd even bother, but they may not let you renew your ID until the warrants are taken care of.

Normally if you have any outstanding warrants your name will be picked up once they enter it into the computer system. That is normally the way they catch a lot of people that are unaware of warrants that were never known about. Good Luck.

Probably not, but that depends on the severity of the offenses. You should be ok, as long as you're just going for ID. I would recommend that you clear it up, because traffic tickets never go away, until they're paid. Good luck.

...what "they" will generally do is "smile" nicely at you while "they" call the police from a back-office phone... "they" will have you stand around a-while and the nice-policeman will show up at the DMV door and ...."poof"...you're gone....arrested and taken out.

You should have worried about that when you made the choice not to answer to your violations of the law.
