The area is red and looks bruised. My friend said that the nurse could of broke a blood vessel. However, I feel a bit woosy. I have had a ton of these before...and never had this reaction. Could this just be an allergic reaction?

The amount of redness is not used to determine if a TB test is positive. The diameter of the hard induration and the number of risk factors are used to determine if the test is positive.

I suspect that your woosiness may be due to anxiety and not to the TB test. Adverse reactions are quite uncommon.

Sometimes there will be a small amount of blood that extravasates under the skin for a centimeter or two. It looks bad, but will clear up in a few days.

An allergic reaction, I think not. Especially if you've had many of these tests before. The person may have not been a professional (someone just starting out).
