Well, I don't like how the hair dresser cuts my bangs, so I always do it myself.
I blow dry & straighten my hair everyday, and when I trim my bangs up I always do it at the end of the day when they are already dried and straightened.
I would reccommend cutting them while they are dry, just because you can really see your split ends.
I think cutting them while they are wet would just get out of hand, and you wouldn't be able to tell as good.

Be sure to use sharp scissors, and a magnifyed mirror.
Also, don't keep cutting, and cutting. Be very careful, so they don't end up turning out bad. Just cut off what you need to.

When I cut my bangs I always cut them at a slight slant. Not too drastic.

Well, I Hope I helped & Good Luck =D

Due to the thickness of your hair and complications with growth patterns, cut dry. You can cut them straight, slanted or even in a u shape. The best way is to cut straight across then pull the whole section up and cut the ends again. That causes a slight layering effect that works well on thick hair.

its better to go to a salon but if your gonna do it yourself do it dry as its difficult to judge when wet. id cut them straight across doing a little at a time. hope it goes well

I guess you may desire to push them to the area once you do no longer opt for them on your face, i think of I easily have easily seen heidi klum try this along with her hair. additionally i think of in case you have nice/skinny hair your bangs will extra advantageous than possibly no longer be poofy yet once you're fairly in contact usher in the two pictures and say that's what i opt for and that's what i do no longer.

trim it when its wet. it will help u determine the exact length of your bangs. i have side bangs 2 and when i cut them i do them myself and they look great. cut ur bangs in a downward motion so it wont look so severe. pull them straight down when u cut them so they wont get buckled under and cause them 2 b uneven.
