2 minutes, 2 months, 2 years?
Children's lactase (the enzyme that digests lactose) doesn't begin to drop until between age 2-4years which is a pretty good indication they are supposed to be consuming large quantities of breastmilk still.
Also the AVERAGE age of weaning worldwide is 4.3 years.
In comparison to other markers and our closest primate relatives the age of weaning is somewhere between 2-7 years.

Also, it isn't the business of anyone except the nurser and the nursling and *maybe* daddy.

It takes a lot of guts in the U.S. but I commend it. It's the best thing, I think. As long as it works for the family, I see no reason to stop just because of a birthday.

I believe that you should nurse your child as long as its comfortable for both of you. Breastmilk is best for baby and great for mom as well. But you get some people that think its gross. But people used to nurse for up to 5 years. Do it as long as both baby and you are comfortable with it.
