Roundworms aren't that eay to pick up from pets. You basicly need to ingest worm eggs..which means you would be cooking, eating, etc with dirty hands. Good old basic hygeine takes care of that problem.

You don't get roundworms from walking barefoot outside....it is hookworms that you can get from walking barefoot outside.

you can get round worms from walking barefoot in your yard and the worms migrate through the feet. try to keep the poop cleaned up in well traveled areas.
