Do you have a relationship with Jesus Christ? if not that could be why

Sometimes what you consider your ideal goal isn't really what you trully want. If you had to work to get all the stuff you have maybe you really like the path and not the final destination. Maybe the chase is more interesting then actually "having". If you've always had everything you wanted maybe you need a challenge. Something thats not so easily accesible. Try going for something completley different and hard to obtain. You might find you like that a loty better then whats expected of you. It shoudl help to increase your self esteem and your over all feel and regard for life. Good luck.

I'm sorry to hear you feel so low about yourself, but it's great to know that you are aware of it!! That's huge.
I wish you'd given more details.

Self-awareness is so important and you are lucky you realize this. Many never figure this out.
Now it's time to do something about it.
It's time to seek a good counselor. If you don't jive with one or two, keep on until you find a good fit; go with your gut.
It can change your life immensely. I learned a few simple things that really changed my life. Yet other things are more complicated, of course.

The price of getting help? Well, we spend money on other drs, on medicines, restaurants, movies, gas, vacations, new furniture, etc. Isn't your happiness and mental well being much more important than any of those?

You can find much info online. You can buy books a therapist recommends, or they will often loan them to you, or buy some on your own on the subject.
I rent books on tape from the library, since it's free and I'm in my car a lot. I also listen to them in bed at night with headphones. It is so enlightening.

It is very helpful to figure out why you feel this way, but someone wise recently told me that even if you cannot ever figure out why, you can figure out what to do or how to cope.

Your esteem has to come from within you. Not from material things or from anyone else. Sometimes we don't realize this until we get all those things we want, and still are not happy.
This feeling will probably not go away regardless of what happens 'to' you; good, bad or otherwise.

When we have bad things happening in our lives, we think it is those things making us miserable....if only we could be wealthy, if only we could find a partner, if only.....

You have had a 'light bulb' moment, and realize you need to search from within and not from outside. That is a huge first step.
Get going in that direction and LEARN about yourself.
There is the self only we know inside us, there is the self we show to the world, and there is the self others see that we don't.
That's where self-awareness come in.

There is so much self-help out there nowadays, we are lucky.
Be careful though, reseach your info a bit as there are always quacks looking to profit from innocent people.

I also tried meditation and learned better breathing, and surprisingly learned major things about myself thru that! Once you totally and completely relax, answers do often come to you.
I'd have never believed that.

So take care of yourself, and don't beat yourself up about it!!
It's common to feel this way. It's also common for people to ignore it and pretend they are happy with the more 'stuff' they buy.

Don't settle for that The journey to self-awareness and improved self-esteem will be the best, most freeing journey you will ever take. It's worth every penny, every hour spent and every tear you shed.

God Bless and good luck!

Only a therapist can help you answer that question; either this person is not really as great as you think, or something traumatized you earlier in life. Talk to a psychologist to help get some answers and get yourself on track.

It is hard to say...are you measuring your success based on your bank account...what kind of car you drive or what size jeans you wear???
If you answered any of these questions with a yes, you will need to change the way you measure the worth of your person.
I wish you luck!!
