What goes up must come down?

Is this true in all aspects? What happens if the law of gravity suddenly changes?

It turns out that existence is cyclical, not linear.
Even the universe is thought to expand and contract.
That was my error when I was young.
Life is like a pendulum. After it swings one way too far, forces compel it to move back the other way.
