I had a really amazing salad yesterday it was: mixed greens, fresh blueberries, gorganzola cheese, candied pecans, vinagrette dressing
Usually I like: mixed greens, chickpeas, red onions, eggs & tomatoes w/ an olive oil and vinagre dressing.
If you want to make a salad that is a meal I would recomend a cobb salad or a spinach salad, both of which are delicious!

This is my ABSOLUTE favorite salad recipe:
1. Cut up some fruit and add a little bit of lemon juice to keep them fresh. (I always use apples and bananas, I also like to add strawberries and grapes, my mom uses clementines)
2. Cut up some lettuce. Mix with the fruit.
3. For the dressing mix mayonnaise with some sugar to sweeten it up a little bit.
4. Mix this all together and put it in the fridge until you are ready to eat it.
I always get compliments on this and it is so easy!

There are a few ideas I have....
1. Boxed Bacon Ranch pasta salad..... trust me it's really really really good and quick!
2. A simple salad..... romaine, Iceberg, baby carrots, sunflower seeds, raisins, broccoli crowns, cucumbers sliced 1/4 inch thick, bacon bits, black olives sliced, shredded cheese, cherry tomatoes, croutons, onions (if you like them), and your favorite dressing.
3. Potato salad..... I stole this idea from my mom and everyone loves it. about 10 potatoes, 3 dill pickles, 2 celery sticks, about 3 rings of onions, vinegar, lots of mayo, and add a little pickle juice at the end. I don't know if everyone else makes it that way..... but I love it!

keep it simple... shredded lettuce, tomatoes, olives, cucumber, shredded cheese... and a popular dressing of your region. Paul Newman's dressings are really wonderful and popular here in Texas.
