Tradition has long held that Mary of Nazareth had woven the one piece garment that Jesus wore to his crucifixion. But there is no way of proving or disproving this.

The art of knitting was developed at a later date sometime after the Crucifixion. So whoever made the garment is not known but it is known that it was not knit.

What Mary are you talking about? There are seven or eight of them in the Bible and at least three of them at the cross. As far as the garment there is no way that anyone could possibly know who made it.

Because Jesus was an adult he most likely bought the cloth from a merchant. But it is possible it was a gift to him from his mother.

It was woven, not knit. I don't know who made it.
