There is none outside of Christ. However, Christ did not come to die for Lucifer - He came to die for man. HE is our hope and our way out of the wages of sin - for He paid the wages of sin so that we might have life. Of course, if you choose not to receive Christ then you have automatically chosen to live eternally with satan.

Lucifer wasn't perfect. He was perfect at the time of creation, but he became flawed.
Like, all babies are perfect and pure and innocent when they are born. Some of them become serial killers when they grow up. You can't really blame the parents either, as studies show that many, many murderers had a normal, loving childhood.
Lucky for the common man, however, Jesus is here to save us. Yay!

But that's the point, Lucifer wasn't perfect, Lucifer thought that he himself was perfect, he was/is very smart and very powerful compared to the other angels, Therefore had PRIDE and was PROUD of himself. That is the reason why God cast him from Heaven. Only God and Jesus Christ can be proud and have pride in themselves and you can also be proud of them, but not in yourself. The only hope for common man is believing in God and believing that Jesus Christ is the son of God and praying to Jesus Christ.
PEACE ON EARTH = NO PRIDE ANYWHERE ON EARTH

So...
Lucifer was a perfect being, but somehow he messed up and was cast out of Heaven. So meanwhile, no one gets to live in Heaven but God and his messengers, until God has his son/himself die so that everyone has a chance to get in. I'm missing the connection here. First, the Lucifer thing is not about getting *into* Heaven, it's about *staying* there once you've been admitted. Kinda like a boarding school where you have to toe the line not to get kicked out. So I guess the presupposition that would have to make this work is that since humans died to have to get to Heaven, they earned it, so they get a get out of jail free card, whereas Lucifer was created there, so God just got mad at him and kicked him out. OR maybe it's that humans couldn't do anything to piss God off so much they he'd kick them out, since we're puny and insignificant and powerless compared to eternal beings.
And that whole 'someone has to die so you can get into Heaven' thing is a little weird, isn't it? Why not just open the gates and admit people by their good deeds? It's a little perplexing...
And I really don't see the connection between the two; they're logically incompatible.
But wait... I think I have it! We CAN'T piss God off, because we're so inconsequential... no... we are actually there for his entertainment! Our shenanigans make him laugh; we are like the jokers in God's court. And Jesus had to die to let us get in, b/c God initially didn't want any court jesters so Jesus had to make a compromise to get us admitted (I can only imagine what that conversation was like... God: No! That'd be too distracting! Jesus: But daaaaad... God: Fine! But you have to pay for it! Jesus: Alright fine, jeez, I'll incarnate myself and die on a cross, allright?).
Wow, I am an awesome theologian.

Good question.
'Lucifer' was NOT an angel neither was he created in order to be perfect for only God is perfect. Angels are incapable of disobeying God as they were created without free will. That is one of the things which separate Mankind from Angels... WE have FREE WILL.
'Lucifer' is a beautiful Latin name which means 'Bringer of Light' and as far as I can remember, the Old Testament was written in Aramaic/Hebrew. Latin didn't even exist at the time. The Vatican added that name to the Bible.
Also 'Satan' wasn't his name either. That name is derived from the Arabic word 'Shaytan' which means 'Adversary'. The Vatican chose that name for the Devil because they considered Arabic a dirty language.
As far as we know, the Devil's original name is a mystery lost in time and his creation was from fire as was his brethren. Not from light as the angels were.
The closest name with no form of favoritism is the current name the Muslims use for the Devil, 'Ibliys', which means 'the Bruised One'. Reference in the Bible, Book of Genesis '...[and her seed]... shall bruise thy head'.
Common man ALWAYS has hope, even when times are as harsh as today. It's all a matter of the choices we make for ourselves and for our beloved. Never take life too seriously nor too lightly because it is in NO WAY permanent.
I hope I've answered your question.
Seek knowledge for knowledge is power; power is freedom; and freedom is peace...
So may peace be upon you...

In legend, Lucifer wanted to be equal to or greater than God. Your hope is held within your being humble before your Creator.

It all comes down to this being a badly written and not well thought out story handed down by desert nomads suffering from sun stroke and staring at their sheep all day
Reading through the answers though, you have to submit and be lowly to be perfect.

Lucifer or Nimrod as he is better known was one of the very knowledgeable teachers of the Revelation of Adam. He got to liking his popularity and began to teach that the people could just worship him instead of the Almighty. Thats why Nimrod was named satan. Satan is the mind of man turned away from God, bereft of the spiritual attributes.

Jesus-- I'm just wondering...I noticed you spend a lot of time in the religion and spirituality section and you are atheist so my question for you is if you are so sure that there is no sort of creator/devine spirit or what have you then why do you spend so much time discussing something that doesn't exist?

I think the difference would be that Lucifer was against God vs. Christians who have faith and have repented for their sins, and are all for God. Very interesting question you raise. No one actually knows what will happen after we die, all we can do is have faith in the Lord and trust in Him.
