The Munchkin variety is going to have problems doing a lot of fast moves and escapes (which the critter might need to make if he's going in and outside, etc.) because of his short legs.
Cats usually can take care of their own emotional needs--that's why they are so great. Some like dogs, some do not. Some buddy-up with their cat house-mates, some don't .There's no "breed" relationship to that. Cats are individuals. If the cat is running around outside, the bigger danger is getting hit by a car, stepping in some sort of chemical like antifreeze or grass fertilizer, etc., or heartworms.
My outdoor cat (he's a local cat, from a local line of outdoor cats) gets along fine with the local racoons, who are huge animals. If it's dark outside, though, the racoons get the food first from his bowl---so, if you're going to feed your pets outside, do it before twilight, if you want their food safe from raccoons.

I would say your best bet is a Maine Coon. They have a lot of hair and as long as you brush them a couple times a week they should be good inside/outside cats. Abyssinian cats are very sweet and loving. But so are Maine Coons! Hope this helps. Some cats are good with dogs and some are not. It is not the breed that decides! If your cat is with the dog since it was a kitten it should be just fine! They possibly could get attacked by raccoons. No grantee they will not. Very friendly cats. Scottish Folds are evil!! Don't get one of those!

i have a maine coon and they are so sweet. they are good for indoor and outdoor. a cat has natural instincts that help it to survive. all cats are usually good with dogs but it depends on the dog and the cat. all cats are friendly depending on their past history with owners, if they were abused then they might not be so good. i us to live with my cats ( maine coons and american shorthairs) in the mountains where there was coyotes and racoons and honestly any cat is not safe from racoons. racoons are natural predators to cats but your cat shouldnt get attacked by a racoon unless it is honestly plain stupid. this is because racoons usually give a warning to say that they are mad and the cat will usually give up. if you have racoons honestly i would keep them inside because racoons are dangerous. living were i lived for 12 years i had about 15 cats die all from coyotes but racoons only would screech and hiss at my cats. 1 of my cats got in a fight with a racoon but luckily ran away and survived. hope this has helped

cat habit is amazingly complicated to comprehend. guy nevertheless does not be attentive to lots approximately it, even together with his severe learn. there isn't any way of understanding why or how the cat behaved or acted in such way. case in point, many cat vendors depart their cats out contained in the line to wander all night lengthy. thats a freaky habit. i can not think of canines proprietor doing that. what if cat is misplaced or in difficulty? it incredibly isn't any longer smart to set loose the cat on my own. additionally the male cat someday shows gay habit with yet another male cat or could be considered appearing very attractive all of the time. that's secret to lot of animal habit specialists cat remains very unknown animal.

choose tha cat you want, most cat like to be outdoors, they love to wander but if you'll train them they can follow your instruction, at the beginning cats really don't like dogs but some are being used to each other, if you don't want the cat to be attacked by racoons, choose a bigger one and a tougher one, and lastly... of course they are friendly, cats are sweet don't you know that?

i would get an abyssinian.
they have a captivating expressive face.
they have an intelligent demeanour and learn tricks quickly.
they love freedom, and are not good apartment dwellers.
beware of cat nappers. introduce them to dogs as kittens.
they are friendly.
