Make sense for what? It's not a matter of "making sense", really. If you want to have sex, then have sex...as long as you are safe, responsible, and mature enough to handle it. If, for some reason, you don't want to have sex, then don't. Neither choice is "better" or "worse" than the other. Just choose the one that is right for you.

Yes, from several standpoints:
Medical - markedly decreased liklihood of contacting sexually transmitted infections, a few of which are currently incurable.
Legal - for men, claims of paternity are relatively easy to defend.
Religious - if you are Christian, read St. Paul's first letter to the Corinthians. I suppose there are similar admonitions in the Old Testament and in books of other religions.
Social - a relationship based primarily on sexual attration is fragile. Exploring other aspects of a potential spouse may go a long way to forestall a breakup down the road.

I think it makes sense. The advantages are many for example no worry of STD's and pregnancy. It alos feels so bad when you give yourself to someone and for one reason or the other it doesn't work out. That makes it even harder for many people to get over the pain of the breakup. It can make it so special when the right time comes and you find the person that will be there for you all your life.

If you mean abstaining from Sex, then yes it makes sense.
Why, you ask. Most people who abstain truly care about themselves.
It's their feelings and opinions that count, not some people who only look to up their score in their little black books.

It makes sense if that is what you want to do.
If not, then no...it doesn't make sense.
Just do what feels best to you. Don't let anyone pressure you one way or the other.
(ummmm...and buy a little black book, just in case ;)
