First off, watch out. Going on a diet can be good but there are bad side effects. You feel really tired and iritaed a lot.
Basically, CUT OFF ALL SNACKS no snacking whatsover in between meals.
Second, salad everyother night and good nourishing meals the other nights. NO FROZEN FOODS. they contain tons of salt.
Excercise, try to run as much as possible. You can start by jogging a half hour on the weekends then slowly increase to a half hour everyday. Walking is just as good, but longer.
Try to avoid all fried foods, especially fries, burgers (unless they have salad on them, then they are acceptable) pizza, chinese, and red meats.
You can porbably find more things online like on wikipedia about healthy things.
Remember, DONT skip meals. That is unhealthy. It is pointless not to eat. Also, if you still feel hungry after eating, dont go back for more, just let your stomach settle.
Also, drink plenty of water. No sodas
Hope this helps, I'm using this and losing about 5 lbs a week.

You need to exercise every day. One hour a day. Try running if you like, walking...whatever...you need ot get some exercise in there. Try sit ups, push ups, leg lifts, dancing, aerobics... etc...
Drink about 64 ounces of water a day.
Cut back on fat foods. Actually... I once did a diet and lost much weight, very fast... the only bad thing is that losing it very fast will make it come back again...so after you lose the initial weight, keep working out, dieting and looking for a better combination of the two. Here's the one I did to lose theweight I had gained when I was sick and in the hospital:
Eat this list of food every day. The time you eat it, the combinations you eat it in, doesn't matter. But you can ONLY eat the foods and amounts listed below:
Half a cup of cottage cheese OR 1 yogurt.
1 cup Cheerios cereal
1 soy burger OR turkey burger
1 hamburger bun
1 serving of veggies (twice a day, so 2 servings)
Herbal tea
3 teaspoons of peanut butter
1 cereal bar OR energy bar
2 ounces of fish OR chicken
1 cup of pasta OR brown rice
1 diet soda
1 fat free pudding
Remember that if you get hungry you can eat fruit or vegetables. Eat as much of it as you like.
You can also add mustard, ketchup, vinegar, and any spices to your food. Not too much salt though.
For cooking you can use 1 table spoon of olive oil.
Remember to drink lots of water and if you ever get thirsty for something different and have already had your 1 diet soda of the day... try drinking Arizona brand Green Tea. It's very yummy.
Good luck. Let me know if it worked.
It worked for me! I lost 30 pounds in 2 months.
And keep exercising...go for a walk, dance, play soccer or tennis with a friend... keep active. Ok? Good luck!

If you want to lose 40 pounds in 3 months, you're looking at 3.3 pounds a week. Most people can usually lose about 2 pounds a week by adding 30 minutes a day of cardio (brisk walk, jumping rope, etc) and modifying your eating habits. Fresh fruits and veggies, low-fat high fiber cereal, skim milk, water, water, water, grilled chicken w/out butter. Don't get discouraged. Set realistic weight loss goals. Even a little change in your habits will help. Good luck.

Listen and most importantly follow these instructions!
NO MORE FAST FOOD FOR THE NEXT 3 MONTHS!!!!
Stuff your fridge with salads, yogurts, egg-whites, and lean-cuisines BUT of these you are only allowed twice a week; (Tuesdays and Fridays)
Every other day do some kind of cardiovascular workout, five minute stretches before doing any one of these: running, swimming, dancing, and or even sex. Do at least two hours worth, with occasional breaks as needed.
On the days you are not doing your cardio, in the mornings and at night before you go to sleep, do as much sit-ups and push-ups as you can; until it burns and you cant do no more because of the pain!!! On these days as well, drink up that H20 the more the better.
"WILL POWER" is the key to following this routine! If you miss or mess up ONE day, just forget it and be chunky at your prom.
I did this in 99 before I joined the Marines and I'm not bragging when I say it helped me fly through all the treacherous and exhausting drills in boot camp. Good Luck.....

If you really really want to lose weight, your best bet is to commit to changing your diet and start exercising. You can start slow and moderate with the exercise. Try just 30 minutes of aerobic exercise a day in the morning to rev up your metabolism and then eat sensibly. Aerobics can be brisk walking or jogging, step aerobics, or jazzercise type workouts. You might try the weight watchers program to help you get started with a new way of eating. Once you get better at the exercise, you will probably need to increase the intensity to keep losing weight. Stick to your diet and it should come close to your goal weight in three months. Good luck!

In my opinion, that is alot of weight to lose in a short amount of time. i would suggest maybe being able to lose 20 lbs max safely, averaging 1 - 2 lbs per week.
For exercise: try walking 15 - 20 minutes every day and build up your stamina for more every week.
I would suggest eating less and moving more, that's the basic recipe and eating 6 small meals a day. Try to have protein for each meal and snack. Example:
Breakfast:
1/2 glass of milk
1 ww toast with light peanut butter
coffee or tea with sweetner and milk (optional)
1 small piece of fruit
glass of water
Snack:
yogurt
1/4 cup of almonds or walnuts
glass of water
Lunch:
Whole wheat sandwich with turkey or any other kind of lean meat
small piece of fruit
cut up vegetables with light dressing as a dip
glass of water with lemon
Snack
hummous with 6 whole grain crackers
Dinner:
grilled meat or fish
steamed vegetables
1/2 cup of pasta or roasted potatoes
small piece of fruit or 1/2 cup of low fat frozen yogurt
Snack:
1/2 glass of milk or 1/2 cup of frozen yogurt
Good luck!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

2 options
join gym or don't join gym
if you join gym, besides training. concentrate training legs as they are much bigger muscle group and they would help you to burn fat real fast.
if you don't join gym, then do lots of cardio everyday (do them in the morning). Up the tempo from walk-powertalk, slow jug to running.
As you weight train, muscle need energy. Very soon you would see the result.
It sounds like you need a plan so try joining a sports like soccer team.

I was told that if you want to lose weight quickly you have to lower your calorie intake, eat high protein foods like skinless chicken and egg starters, and drink alot of water. For exercise walk alot.
