Since you are new to this, I'll try to answer, however; a better phrased question would be nice. If it is the smell of wood that you are trying to add to a room, get a bag of wood shavings. Go to a mill work shop, not a lumber yard. A mill work shop will have shavings from species like oak, and other hardwoods. Stay away from cedar if you are easily irritated, but if you have moths it would be a good choice.

try using a furniture polish for wood; shaving are ok but a fine nest for things if you have such problems or potential for such. just get some rough timber and make shelving. go to the mill and get it cheap not from the hardware or get some wood stumps to use as stands, stools etc.
