Wars are for the most not planned months or years in advance. We typically rely on data from the intelligence community and then decide what to do. I am sure there are plans to invade Iran, and I am sure there are plans to cut the border off and stuff as well. I do not think that we are going to invade Iran, or anything crazy like that. I think we will sanction them, and thats about all we will do.

The Pentagon plans war all the time. That's what they get paid to do there. There's supposed to be a contingency plan for everything. I'll guarantee you, some place down in the Pentagon's basement, there's a plan to invade Canada.

In 1985 I was given a classified briefing on my unit's mission in case of an invasion of Iran. I have no doubt that those plans have been updated on a regular basis since.

Part of the military's job is to develop plans for contingency operations. Examine the link for a list of some previous war plans:

no but the pentagon plans for the worst case event. my dad back in the 50's planed for the event of world war 3. that said i would also say that we should not have another war. the united states is too widely spread for the military to fight another war in iran. common wisedom states you do not fight a two front war. of course the book of war also teach's that you should know your enemy and our present government has failled miserably at this. this war has been about a barely conceled greed and scores of cockroaches in washingtoon are rushing to get out of the light.

in the beginning- that's no longer in basic terms a republican or democratic failing on my own! Ask any expert in any field, and that they could inform you something which you ignorantly settle for even however this is untrue. This undertaking is extremely huge-unfold and unfavourable in the area of politics, because of the fact whoever gets voted in can doubtlessly injury the rustic for the subsequent 4 (or 8) years, like President Bush has! in fact that media collectively with television or radio are so often used and prevalent that it is the sole way maximum human beings study approximately what's happening in the huge international. maximum human beings are not involved in politics, and so while they hear that so-and-so flipped factors, or that Mr. Whoever is going against his observe, they use that to vote. this is not any longer nicely-counseled democracy, and this is notably media pushed. this is in simple terms the way that somebody with little time or interest in politics could even see it. in case you have the prefer to make extra counseled judgements, use the internet! you are able to seem up as plenty airborne dirt and dirt as you opt for on the two candidate.

Dear Sir:

Absolutely not!... war in a nut shell is poor communication. What this country needs is dramatic change meaning a leader with vision. We need a person who knows where he is going, focuses always on top priorities and knows how to achieve a political balance with regard to domestic and global affairs.

And more importantly, a person who knows that his best resource is people and not his or her own personal agenda.

-----You do not "need" wars; they are forced on us by events, like Pearl Harbour and 9-11. We must greatly increase the size of the military to fight in Iran, or perhaps even to continue to fight in Iraq and Afganistan. ---Jim
