My daughter in law is and maybe my grandaughter. She had to go to the emergency room two weeks ago because she dislocated a ligament while playing. I was holding her hand tonight while she pulled up off of the floor and her arm popped. She now says it hurts really bad. I think that they are taking her to the doctor. Does this happen in children who are double jointed?

She probably has loose ligaments. If she were truly double-jointed it wouldn't hurt. (Loose-ligaments seems to be not uncommon in growing teenagers. Fortunately all the kids I knew like that have grown out of it)
