I do this on the treadmill. I start off with the highest incline setting and I walk at a very slow pace for about 10 minutes to warm up. Then I increase the speed to about 4 for about 30 seconds and then I decrease the speed to about 2 for 30 seconds. With the maximum incline, it is really tough at level 4. I don't like moving like a jackrabbit at a flat incline cause it feels like i'm going to fly off the treadmill. After about 2 minutes my heart rate is already at 90% plus. I can only keep this up for about 10-12 minutes and after I'm done I feel like throwing up and I have to ly down for about 10 minutes so my heart rate drops down to normal. I'm thinking about throwing in 30 minutes of low intensity cardio just so I can burn a hundred more calories or so.
