I was prescribed this overpriced med after i broke my tooth. I am curious how it worked for you and also side effects (good and bad)?

Generic 15 pills cost me 20.00 which is absurd! Street drugs cost less I imagine. Anyway I just took a loading dose of 1000mg and waiting for my pain to go away.

As a healthcare provider I can tell you that Dolobid is for mild to moderate pain. It is along the lines of a higher strength aspirin. Don't know why the dentist didn't order a medication usually given for short term pain (unless the dentist didn't want to order a narcotic or something along those lines). I don't have your medical history or know what medications you are already on (which would be a consideration when ordering any medication). But I can tell you that there are much cheaper alternative drugs within the same category that could have been ordered. Anyway...take them regularly as ordered and they work more effectively that way.
