and should i still use them for volleyball?

Shoes should be replaced at least once a year. Most shoes go by mileage as to how long they last - about 500 miles is average for a shoes life. They may still feel comfortable, but the support isn't there anymore and you aren't getting the benefits out of a good shoe. They should also be replaced when the tread wears down in them.

if you wear them often enough then definetly get a new pair. the old pair will not have as much bounce in them and may alter your performance. people may not think too highly of you if you turn up in shabby trainers all the time also, so yes if you feel your old trainers are worn out, treat yourself to some new ones =)
