Well, being as I'm the first guy to answer this question, at least there are no guys from the point when I clicked to answer lol. Well I personally am very attracted to self confidence and I hate playing the guessing game, I can't just say, "Stop being shy" but, I can suggest to start off by saying hi every once in awhile and asking him if he knows where "blank is" or how he likes the class, restaurant, whatever.... Start small and eventually start asking if he wants to do things like go to lunch or bowling with some friends of yours... If he doesn't like lunch or bowling then he is no good lol! He will say yes if he thinks you are a girl he could be interested in, It's a quick way to know what he thinks about you and any possibilities for the two of you hooking up, eventually. But if he says no, it will be hard, but you'll have to move on bc he doesn't like you, It's the honest truth. If he gives a good excuse, go ahead and try a few more times later on, but don't push past 3 attempts.... Hope this helped.

I get a little shy around guys too. I think it would be more comforting if you had a mutual friend, or maybe even just your friend at hand. Someone who is a little more outgoing than the two of you can break the ice and help start a nice conversation. Then once you get to know this guy a little more, start talking to him more and suggest to hang out with him!
Good luck and I hope everything works out for you! ;-)

Do some research about the guy if you can - find a common interest and talk about that. Once you're comfortable with that, then maybe the conversations will progress to where you would feel comfortable asking him out, or maybe he will ask you out first! Good luck!

just go for it & talk to him. the best way to gain confidence is to face your fears. even if it doesn't work out this time, future encounters with boys will get more and more easy as you gain confidence from experience. say hello and smile at him and be confident in yourself. it's easier said than done, i know, but life is short, so go out there and go for it!

Everything starts with a conversation. Get the ball rolling if you want to keep him interested.

well, if you got a friend who knows him then ask him to introduce you two. or else, just go up to him and just start by saying hi, and later in the days you can gradually start talking to him

I was like this before, and then, I randomly said,"Hey, wanna join my band?" I made myself look like a total idiot, but then, he asked me out! Now I feel like even more of a dumbwit cuz we broke up!
