Don't worry about being too shy. Right now, it's best ust to lie low. Watch him. If he looks at you a lot, starts trying to talk to you more, or flirts, then there's a good chance that he likes you back. If you think he does, then go for it! Tell him! Remember that you have nothing to lose. If it turns out he doesn't like you, then at least you don't hate yourself for not trying. And if he does like you, then congrats, you have a BF!!!

I guess to work up the courage and ask him out. Or try to manage a way to let him know that you like him, without saying it to his face.

Get a friend of yours to ask him in private if he likes you. Don't make it seem obvious that you told her/him to ask him. That way if he says no you wont be embarrased in front of him. Next start to become his friend.
