Note to Max Marie: Some of us can't get Peets...or Caribou or anyplace selling Illy. We are stuck with Starbucks or whatever we can scrounge up in the grocery store. Yes, Starbucks is a racket. Yes, they scorch their beans so they can get them to go farther, but, like I said, for some of us, they are the only game in town. (Other than roasting our own, which I do sometimes.)

Now, my answer:
House Blend is Starbucks most consistently available medium roast. Watch the racks, though, for some of their seasonal blends.
I will also sometimes buy their Kenyan or Ethiopian, which are bold, and make them a bit weaker, as they are smooth enough to take the additional water, and are more flavorful (IMHO) than their Latin American coffees.

I personally think their coffee is too strong.
I prefer Folgers Colombian Blend..

Also a cup of McDonalds Bold hits the spot for me.

You should try their Espresso Roast. When used to brew coffee and not used for shots, it is great!!! It is caramel-y sweet and very smooth. Little aftertaste as well and no, it's actually not bold. Another great one to try is Verona as well as Guatemala Antigua. If you want to go a step stronger, than Kenya is very crisp. Happy tasting!

I always get their House Blend Whole Bean coffee. At Christmas I get their Christmas Blend. Robust, but not too strong!

I prefer all medium roasts of any coffees. I also mix between caffeine and decaf.

I always get the House Blend because it is very flavorful but yet not too strong.

I prefer Peet's Coffee because it's bolder and more flavorful. Starbucks is woosey, tasteless coffee.

My fave is Sumatra. Yum
