OK I have a 4 and a half year old little girl! How for the last year and a half has been doing really well on the potty training thing. But here in the past 3 weeks or so. She has started having accidents in her pants. And not potty accidents. She has been pooping in her pants. The really odd thing though is that there isn't any potty when she does it. Just poop. I don't know if she is just regressing like the Dr. says or if maybe she is experiencing a problem that I need to get a second opinion for. Has anyone else been through this. I could really really use some advice right now!

Be very very sure this is the only problem your child has. My son was limping, couldn't go up the stairs without holding on the something, was afraid of going down the stairs, even only one step, he was pooping in his pants, couldn't control his bladder, was becoming cross-eyed and finally, a CT Scan revealed he had hydrocephalus. All the above mentioned problems were cured after the operation but he has gone blind from one eye. So be very very sure there are no other problems. Never, ever, ignore new symptoms and just say she is seeking attention or maybe she'll grow out of it. I wish I could go up a mountain and shout this to the whole world, maybe some dumb doctors could hear me and take immediate action when anxious mothers go to them with problems regarding their children.
