The amount of money you can make, or money/hour of effort, or whatever, isn't very appealing, even if there were no questions of law, ethics, or stigma. What's more, the online porno business has a lot of con-artist aspects to it; i.e., it's morally questionable even if you have ZERO moral qualms about the basic concept of porn. (And my qualm count, by the way, is pretty close to zero on that score.)
