I don't know if the medication is that old, or if a 14 yr. old should take it. If it's the med- flush it. The chemicals will be all messed up in there and had numerous reactions to each other. A 14-yr. old taking Prozac should be under a doctor's care as it's been known to cause suicide in people of younger ages.

If you're asking about Prozac that was made in 1993...flush it.

If you're asking about a 14 year old taking Prozac, then discuss these concerns with the doctor prescribing prozac. If a 14 year old is prescribed Prozac, then there's generally a valid psychiatric reason for doing so.

If you're a 14 year old who wants to take Prozac for fun...don't do it. Don't be stupid. The medication effects the uptake of serotonin in your brain, which is a neurotransmitter. Do you really want to do something that could have an effect your brain? It's not going to get you high...it's just going to screw up your brain.

No idea, but at 14 years old you would be better off throwing it out. The stuff would have long since expired.

Medications are safe until their expiration date. After this time, they can deteriorate and do not work or can be harmful. Medicine (over-the-counter and prescribed) can become poisonous when it ages and result in death
