TB is found throughout the entire world. Countries that have an increased number of cases are Mexico, Haiti, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, South Korea, and India. If you have been to any of these countries and then get a TB test in the US it counts as a risk factor for TB.

Primarily its a contagious,infectious disease of the lungs. It can also infect the kidney's,and bones,the most common. Other sites include , out side the lungs & chest cavity,the abdominal cavity,the "sac" around the heart called the "pericardium",bladder,brain,spine,and reproductive organs,and joints. This also can be spread from an infected mother to her unborn babyThere are 5 specific antibiotics for its treatment. It remains a "world " health.problem. Take care. SW RNP

Some of the answers above are wrong !! TB is a lung disease.

I can tell you with certainty that TB is being found here (occasionally) in South Korea.

i dont know exactly what part of the world but i do know it affects the kidneys
