Okay, to answer this, don't give me all the sexual stuff. I know all that. What I want to know is, aside FROM THE SEXUAL standpoint, why do we as a society look at women's nipples the way we do? And I don't mean in the outward way, exposed. Take for instance, women when braless or brafree as I like to say it, because I am a women's rights activist, when women are brafree, the nipples showing, (raised position,protrusion), are looked at as a sexual entity or enticement, rather than as a woman who just hates to wear bras! Why is this, really? Can anyone truly tell me? (Hint:This might take some intellectual thought on your part to answer this!)

Well, I think that people find it sexual because it kind of "hints" nakedness. It's like they're almost seeing something they wouldn't normally get to see, and they freak out about it. Personally, I think it's ridiculous. My friend told me he could see my nipples and I told him I didn't care! Same with bra straps. I just find it annoying that people have to constantly point it out like it's a big deal. All women have breasts. All women have nipples! Get over it! XD

They aren't really, It's just that they, well, stand out in public! I look as most do and trying hard here to be a-sexual, it's something we never grow out of. It's NATURAL for men to look, and natural for women to look also. It IS a sexual thing. Bountiful breasts mean a mother that can feed children. It' s one of the things that make a man instictivley want to pro-create. Women instictley look at it as competition for the best males to pro-create with.

One could argue that the woman's nipple is something that mainstream culture is uncomfortable with, making it a cultural opinion. I personally think, though, that it is because women have them and men don't, so it makes it a gender exclusive item, thus making it inapropriate for the opposite gender to see. Women worry about their bust size as much as a man worries about his penis size.

Ok, anyway, to answer your question. Maybe most men just are ignorant pigs (not all, just some) or maybe it's something that is natural for them, you know it's in their body and they're "programmed" to. Who really knows?

it is probably something evolutionary, something that has to do with the reason that men look for women with large breasts in the first place. i guess seeing protruding nipples registers as a good partner to mate with, because she would be capable of feeding offspring well.
