When do you get better results? Straightening when hair is wet? Or dry?

Every girl should know this: DO NOT STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR WHEN WET, unless you want to look like a poodle! It will take you forever to repair it! It really fries your hair, ESPECIALLY the ends! If you want to make SUPER straight, I would suggest getting some products at the store that HELPS make your hair straight. Put it in your hair while it wet and blow dry it straight, then when its dry, you would flat iron it. But that is only if you want it super straight. Hope that helps. Also, they have this knew hair straightener, it's called Wet2Set and it is very cheap, like 20-25 dollars I believe, hope that also helps!

its better dry cuz if you do it wet and i say from this experience it will BURN your hair really badly. My hair is still ruined and i only straightened it once a week. My hair was so puffy and it felt disgusting. And it had tons of split ends trust me wait till your hair is dry its the best way to straighten your hair.

Dry hair is best to straighten because when your hair is wet, you may burn it and soon your hair will break off and cause a lot of split ends...take it from someone who knows...

i straighten my hair wet and it gets reallllllly straight but i have a wet/dry straightener so i guess thats y my straightener is starting to mess up but ive had it for over a year

you should NEVER straighten your hair WET. not only will it make your hair puffy, but it can fry your hair too.
do it when its dry if you want it straight.

the best way to straighten your hair and not fry it as much is to use the straightener and go over your hair fast and do that a couple of times, instead of going over your hair slow.
cause that way it could damage your hair more

oh, u dont want to straighten ur hair with flat iron when its wet. thats dangerous. do it when its dry and u can use a straightening gel before u begin straightening.

Um, you're not supposed to use a flat iron when your hair is wet. Trust me, it doesn't work well. However, it does work okay when your hair is just slightly wet. Um, but for best results, I'd say you want your hair completely dry. ;]

DRY!!!!!!!!!!! wet causes many probs:
1) it ruins the straightener
2) it frys ur hair
3) it just looks plain U-G-L-Y
4) makes room REALLY REALLY humid!
DONT WET-STRAIGHTEN UR HAIR!!!!!!!

i defnitely wouldn't go straightening my hair if it was reallly wet. it would damage your hair really bad and singe your hair.
it is better to straighten your hair when it is dry or even almost very dry.
put a tiny bit of serium in your hair before straightening, it helps alot and gives your hair that sleek shiny look.

I think dry, because the hair will flat out burn when it's wet. Unless you straighten with a blow-drier and brush, but I'm the only person I've ever known who that actually works for.
