Can you believe in God and still go to heaven? One certain person tells me you have to be saved and you will go to heaven. Believing just isn't enough. I believe in God. I just don't see why you have to be saved to go to Heaven. Is there even a Heaven or Hell? And how do we know? Besides what you read in the bible.

I don't believe in God. My mother, who is Catholic, says she thinks I'll go to heaven if I'm a good person regardless of my "unwillingness to accept Christ"... so yes, some believers do think that non-believers will go to heaven without being "saved".

There IS a heavan and there is a hell and I agree with whomever this certain person is and being saved is stateing to God and publicly that you believe that Jesus died on a cross for your sins and rose three days later we know from the Bible and the Bible is factual and the thing about Christanity is you have to have faith which is believing without seeing and there is and eternity you will ether end up when you die in hell eternaly or heaven eternaly and the Bible is factual besides, Christianity is the most proven religion THE BIBLE IS GODS WORD THAT WAS SPOKEN THROUGH HUMANS

There is no physical prof of either heaven or hell. Because heaven and hell are not physical places as we know it.. You say u believe in God. Well where would God live then. and why would he allow sin into his presence in that place. So iof there is a God then there must be a hell. As for being saved Jesus Christ came down to earth born of a virgin and died for yours and my sins. Which cleans the slate with God and allows us to enter the kingdom of heaven.. The best answer is heaven and hell cant be proven it comes down to having faith in something bigger than yourself amnd bigger than this world... but as your friend says according to the bible there is only one way to enter the kingdom of heaven and thats through Jesus Christ... And all you have to do his believe that he came to earth to be a sacrifice for your sins, and once you believe that and trust in him... U can say my sins are forgiven. Whether you believe it or not all your answers are in the bible, you should talk to your friend some more read Genesis chapters 1-5, and The Gospel of Matthew specifically but also Gospel's of...Luke, Mark and John

&YES U HAVE 2 B SAVED 2 GO 2 HEAVEN U GET SAVED LIKE THIS:
1.asking god 2 forgive all ur sins
2.believe that jesus rose from the dead & paid 4 our sins

You have to believe in what Jesus Christ did for you personally on the cross...He paid the price for your sin when He was crucified (which is death)...He then went to Hell for 3 days....and then was resurrected and ascended to Heaven where He sits at the right hand of God interceding for those who have accepted Him...So yes...you must be saved by the work of the cross...It is sort of like this...It is your birthday...I bring you a gift...you see it...so you believe it...but unless you take it...you will never be able to enjoy the gift. So in this sense it takes more than just believing to receive. You have to actually accept the gift. I hope you will accept the gift...it is free...the debt of your sin has already been paid for you...so you might as well enjoy it. Confess that Jesus is your Lord...You accept that He paid the price of your sin...Repent of your sins (repent means to turn from your sin and do it no more)...Ask Him to come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior... Be Blessed.

don't listen to others about heaven and hell unless they've been there, cause once they've been saved, they should know All of us are guinea pigs in the laboratory of God.
Humanity is just a work in progress and there is no right or wrong to get into heaven !

Heaven is a state that exists inside of you RIGHT NOW. It DOESN'T happen after you die.
So, yes, you can be a believer and go to heaven. I believe in God, I don't believe that christ is a savior - he was a very advanced being. Therefore, I can live in heaven every moment I'm on earth by loving all, hating none, embracing diversity, and knowing that this place is great and everything I need is here for me right now.
This moment is the only moment.

In order to get to Heaven you have to:
1. Believe Jesus is Gods Son
2. That Jesus was crucified and rose on the 3rd day
3. Confess you are a sinner
4. Ask for forgiveness
5. Ask Jesus to be your personal Saviour and live for Christ.

Jesus died for us so that He could bridge the gap between Earth and Heaven so we can one day be with God in Heaven, that is if we believe Jesus did die for our sins on the cross and accept him as our personal Savior.

i can only answer this question by what i believe. after being raised a roman catholic and being exposed to other religions, (christian and otherwise), i truly believe that there is a heaven and that all can reach heaven after they have truly gotten their life and spirit correct. by this i mean, our souls need to be raised to a state of near perfection-perfection can not be reached because only god is perfect-and then we can enter into heaven. i don't know if this means being saved; i do know that it means to me that our souls must keep coming back until they have gotten it right.
