No because say for some reason the kid might like you back, well your not showing true interest in the kid asking someone else to do you work for you.
If he has a interest in you and you have a friends ask him out for you then you run the risk of him not really caring, and losing respect. and RESPECT is everything

You should use your common friend to help you get acquainted with the boy. Get to know and develop chemistry before you actually spend time alone or ask him out.

Well it depends..if the person you know also likes him and she told you that than maybe it is best to back off,but it would be the same situation for her. The best thing you should do is TALK to her and work it out between the two of you.....DONT FIGHT OVER HIM

never send someone to do that for you, that happened to my oldest sister, her friend sent her to talk to this guy for her but instead he started hitting on my sister and asked her out, and her and her friend got into a huge fight. anyways, he'll see you as a punk, like you can't to him yourself, build up some self confidence and go get your man.
